don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I read in one of the forums that the seahorse only affects the tank that it is in.

I'm not sure of what it's "real" function is but I will tell you this...you can move it from tank to tank and it takes up the space a fish would use. For instance if you had it in your sale tank, you could never sell 21 fish at a time. Only 20 because the seahorse acts a fish presence. You can be rid of him if you really want to be...nuff said.
