I have 3 master farmers, 4 master scientists but no master builders or doctors. How long does it take for one to become a "master" doctor? Erica, one of my doctors has been "adept" since I started the game a week ago. I put her on research 4 days ago and now she is a master scientist! WTH?!

I think it's because you have not enough people to heal, so they can't improve healing. (Since you only have 3 master farmers and 4 master scientists i'm assuming you have a small village) All you can do is drag the doctor to the cactus to improve.

Doctors have two ways of "improving."

1) Studying the cactus (or other rare plants.)
2) Healing someone.

Once a doctor has Adept skills, they will go and "study" the cactus on their own, rather than just "curious about the cactus."

I believe I've seen this even if healing isn't the "checked" skill. Working at the research table only improves their science skills.

Thanks! Yes I do have a very small village of about 23 people. I have buried 4 of my original villagers today alone!! I have a load of kids under 14 right now.
