I have been playing VV for quite sometime now. I have all 5 games up and running and have maxed them out for quite a while. I still check on them daily to see if any new events have happened, if any one has died, and if there is anything I need to do to keep the game maxed...I run them at 90 villagers all the time. Yesterday I checked on game 5...had a few deaths...so a few mated until we got to 90...and I turned the game off. Now....24 hours later I checked in and EVERYONE was dead, except for the golden child and 4 two year olds!!! And there was 0 food....so I had the golden child make more...so that will help a little....but I am afraid that with 5 children and no adults, things will start to look pretty grim! I cannot imagine what happened??? There were no "events" awaiting for me when I turned the game on...so as far as I know nothing happened....I just cannot understand how everyone died in 24 hours...AND I run the games at 1/2 time...so it is not even normal time. Has anyone else had this happen??? WOW!!! I am stunned...

Thats happened to me before - just keep hunting mushrooms let GC keep making food in the bin - you wont get any events til you have a villager at least 14 yrs old.

I cant imagine how youd run out of food on a beat game other than an event like a tidal wave which wasnt mentioned in the game.

I personally have had a game running beat for a couple months now and i have 2,722,583 food. Once they stop researchings its nearly impossible to run out of food when you have 50-70 food people

on my game it was a no fishing game - so they didnt have the "endless supply" of ocean catches available to them - I only had a pop of abt 25 to begin with - hubby woke up and opened my village to check on them because I was sick in bed and there was only 2 kids (both girls) and GC left and no food - I am not sure if there was an event (usually my events pop up 1st thing in the morning on all my villages)
Unfortunately on that particular village that was the 3rd time I had something happen that left me with just children and no adults.

I also just had a game where there was no food left in the bin, but there were crops, berries on the bush, and level 3 farming. It was a game in progress, some of my adults were weakened, but none had died. I was able to recover the food supply, but also unsure why my little villagers didn't forage, harvest or fish on there own during my night.

WOW! I had almost the same thing happen to me. They were all working well when I went to bed, with a couple of thousand in food, but when I checked on them in the morning there was zero food, one little five-year-old had died, and the rest were all very weak. I had just got to enough points to get level 3 farming, so I immediately bought it, and set everyone who was able to fishing. My two farmers were both sick and had to be healed and presumably that was why food had run out. I didn't get an event, either.

You can check the game log when that happens, to see exactly why they ran out of food. This post explains how to check it.

Yes, but by the time I notice something like that, the log file may be huge, expecially if I'm checking five games each morning.

P.S. my apologies for not getting the link correct in the quote...

That's when you use Ctrl-F and look for words like 'disease' and 'starvation'

I have a different problem. I have two men and three women. I call the the Amazon tribe because the WOMEN are doing the work! I don't care what I pit the guys on, they just shake their heads at me and say no. The women, however, are the Masters (Farmer, Builder, Researcher/Healer) The men are still at Adept Farmer and Builder. And when it comes time to mate; I can't get the women to the hut! They run away from the two guys. Guess they don't wish lazy kids. But they are going to have to make babies in order for the tribe to survive. I can see it now; a tribe of women....
