I've had an interesting time with runners. Some of mine have seemed a little schizophrenic...never really liking to do just one thing more than a few times in a row, even if they have no other likes or dislikes. Once I had a runner who disliked work, so that made it a little tricky to make them stick with any job without close supervision and a lot of patience.

I had one villager who disliked fish, but because I didn't pay attention to this until it was "too late" and my village was in a groove getting things going, she ended up being a Master Farmer before I got Level 3 Farming. When the lagoon was unblocked, she got the Fertility Fish just fine, but she runs away EVERY TIME I put her in the ocean. If she's too close to the food bin when a villager brings back fish, she'll run away from that too! lol I've also had a guy who dislikes turnips and just does "nothing" when I put him on the crops, but he doesn't run away, just goes back to whatever he was doing.

I've never had a real problem with anyone who dislikes wood or rough wood being a good builder, but I've had several villagers run away from clearing the lagoon or building a hut because of disliking rocks.

If they have a certain color preference I try to accommodate that in their clothing, but I still haven't figured out if that means they don't like to hang around people wearing colors they don't like?

I'm putting together a list of all the things I've noted in my villagers' likes and dislikes list.

Still haven't figured out how to "help" those villagers who dislike sunlight! Maybe in VV2 a plane will drop sunblock and floppy hats for everyone?

Hope this helps.
