Ok, my village has been running it self for a few months and finally I have run out of villager due to a lack of boy babies. I am now down to 4 villager 3 female...2 very old...and "he who shalt not be named"....Am I done or can I get a baby boy from a island event???

Yes.. there's a chance you could Even if only the GC is left alive, and event could bring you two or 3 children - hopefully not all of the same sex.

I think you ought to be able to get one. I don't know. I got a boy and girl in a crate when I 24 villagers, and wasn't amazingly short on either gender. I'd wait it out and see.

There's always a chance...as was posted previously, the Barrel O' Babies or tightly sealed crate (sometimes those have a baby or two) events could bring you some males. You'll just have to wait for them to grow up.

There's also a CHANCE if you investigate/get a closer look at the "face in the trees" event, your villager won't disappear, never to be heard from again, but rather, you'll get a new adult villager who joins your group.

O' course, you gotta get the event first, so maybe put your game on 1/2 speed and see what happens? Good luck!
