Why are my people always doing laundry?

How do I get some of my younger villagers to become builders and build new huts? I have the 2nd level of construction and I'm not sure what to construct or how to get them to become builders.

Can't answer the laundry question... but to get builders, drop someone near a hut and the action comment should read 'fixing hut' or similar, if you do this often enough, and tick building in their skills page, they will become builders - or if you have any building puzzles left you could set them onto those.

Thanks! I just found the laundry thing funny because it seems like it's always the men doing this while the women work....lol.

Laundry: There are several theories that it's hygenic or keeps the villagers healthy, but personally I don't believe these because sometimes you get laundry-hating villagers and they just do fine.

But don't worry about people always doing laundry and never working, because by the time the get to the laundry-mainia stage, you usually have enough food. At least that's what I've found. HTH

I think its best if you interrupt them when they're doing laundry because it doesnt provide anything for your village or its inhabitants. (Who needs clean clothes?) But really, I am pretty sure that the time they spend doing laundry just keeps them from progressing in other areas.

A lot of times when they go off to do laundry or go walkabout, if you check, they just injured themselves... it also seems to work as recuperating time in the case of the researchers and builders
