hello, new to the game. Does having multiple villagers watering crops make them come back faster? Does it have any benefit or should i just have one person watering and mulitple people harvesting?

Unless you're trying to give a farmer more experience, get the farmers researching to get tech points, or doing something else you need, until the crops come in. Watering them doesn't reduce the crop cycle - it's fixed.

Most of us have found rotating the farmers waiting for crops to the research table works well.
