Well said Izzie. My very first simulation type game was SimTown, which I quickly out grew. From that one game, I was hooked on these types of games, but sadly they're few and far between.
Out of all the downloadable games on line that I've played the trial period for and really liked, this is the only one that I actually bought. I also completed VV in a short time, but like any game I've played and won, the challenge now comes from playing the game on harder levels or adding your own brand of difficulty.
Also, each Villager does things differently, such as you might get one that likes to run or one that doesn't. Or you might get one that dislikes bushes or the ocean and refuse to be a farmer by running away.
Add in the events that can occur to help you or set you back, either way giving each game its own uniqueness.
