I've already finished the game at normal difficulty, so to make things more interesting I've decided to see what I can do in hard. So far I've lost 2 villages. My villagers eat all the berries and then starve to death before they get enough points to plant a crop. My latest village all the berries are gone but all of the adults are doing research. They're still 800 points away from the next farm level and out of food. Any tips on keeping them alive til their crops come in?

Hard is tough all the way to level 3 harvesting. You just need to keep the food bin a 400. I will typically put two on foraging and the rest on the table until the bin is at 400 or so, then put the other on the table. When the bin gets down to around 300 I put two back on foraging and so on. Same thing once you get the farm.

I found that on level hard I really had to watch them carefully in the beginning and had to keep an eye out for mushrooms all the time. I also saved up all my tech points just for farming.
