You want to be careful about assigning a man as a parent. He gets single minded. Change him to something else. If you have the first level of Medi. Your villagers will live about 50 years. 70 for the second level and up yo yhr 90s even 100 for level 3. Women can have children up until they die.

Someone who has a large, runaway population should do a screen capture with the caption: "Beware! Adept Male Parent at Large" lol

Seems like a good place to ask my question.

When starting out, how many females should you generally have?

I had 2 and lost one within the first hour to an island event. She got dragged away into the jungle. So now Im trying to build a population with 1 female.

How do I restore my weakened villagers?

The male/female amount at new game startup is random, and will differ from game to game.

Since you just started the game (from what it sounds), your weakened villagers are most likely due to starvation. How much food do you have in the bin? If it gets too low, you will start starving the villagers, causing them to be weakened.

Aye, my foragers like to try and move the boulder if I dont keep an eye on them so food got down to 25-30.

Yikes.. that's like asking an adult to live on a sandwich a day Forget building and breeding, and concentrate on getting your food supplies up (at least to around 400 points), and then set the others to researching so you can get better farming tech as soon as possible

There you go. As the poster above has already stated, put all the villagers on food gathering until you get 400 in the food bin, then put as many workers on the research table as you can, but keep enough foraging to stay above the 400 mark for good. At this time you must keep very close attention to your villagers so that your food does not go below 400.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

Thank you guys.

So when my food level returns to a safe level, the villagers' health will improve from weakend to healthy again?

Oh and don't forget, you can get the kid to pick the mushrooms that sprout up to help out your food supply
