Has anyone noticed:
1) That you sometimes don't have to be in the hut to have a baby.
2) That counter will say you've increased your population but she doesn't come out with a baby. Baby shows up later.
3) Often times mothers don't stop nursing when they are supposed to and you have to go out of the game and stay out for a bit before she will "drop" the kid and return to work?

I had noticed the not dropping the baby when the counter was at zero and just encountered the not coming out with the baby but had it a few minutes later.

I haven't had to leave the game to get them to drop the baby. I just set them on another task instead of breeding and they will then drop the baby and go do what I need them to do.

haha, i had one time when i put a guy on a girl to get them to boink, and it was like, "This woman is already nursing a baby!" And, as soon as the words "No she's not!" popped out of my mouth, the game decided to spite me and prove me wrong by making a baby pop right in to her arms!

1) Your female is always pregnant before you put her in the hut. Keep dropping your male on the female till you see your population count go up, then drop him on her again, and she will have the baby. No need for the hut.

2) Sometimes the baby takes a minute or two to show up, depending on how many villagers you have, and how much you have going on at once.

3) When the counter reaches 0, it takes 1 minute for them to drop the baby. Wait, and they will drop it, or go do something for a few minutes and come back. they will drop it eventually.

Tried that didn't work. I tried it several times in the space of five minutes. She held on to that baby for dear life

It happens no matter how many villagers I have or how much is going on.

Hasn't dropped it. I waited for like 10 minutes, and it still wasn't dropped. The only thing is going out and coming back into the game a few minutes later.

I like that I ont have to Wait for them to go in the hut to have a baby. It cuts down on the time to actually appear. I hate it when they go in the hut 5 times and no baby it takes to long

I have a new one .... the first time I played, I was able to solve the magic flower garden puzzle (wwwaaayy before the golden child was born). But now what ever I do, every new village I start, my villagers won't water the field. I've even researched everything, but when I drag my villagers there, first they are curious, and then then they do "nothing".

River, have you got level 2 in farming? You need that for your villagers to be able to water and harvest the crops.

You need special water for that flower garden.

River, assuming the lagoon water is flowing, drag a builder to the field and see if it works.

I tried watering the field today after having ALL techs fully researched. I dragged a master builder over to the field. It says "He sees strange dead flowers here." Under "Action", it says "Watering field." only for a split second, and then it quickly changes to something else such as "Nothing" or "Fixing hut." I am perplexed! I have all techs fully researched. And yes the lagoon water is flowing too.

hmm... once the lagoon is flowing any villager should be able to water the field... builders will do it without your having to monitor them all the time. Are you actually putting the person in the field?

I'm having the same issue as River - I have the lagoon but when I drag anyone (including a Master Farmer and Master Builder) to the field with dead flowers, for a moment it says "Watering Field" and then it flips to "Nothing" and then they'll go do something else. Can't figure this out - HELP!!

Maybe your villagers dont like flowers', or green. Do they have likes and dislikes?
Or maybe they are just stubborn

I think they were being stubborn because right after I posted that I got them to water the field. So now I've got two of them at it.

Does anyone know at what age the women stop being able to have babies? One of my older ones just had twins!

Arthur forgot to consult the female members of his team on general biological norms... lol. The VV females are definitely non-menopausal

I swear my game is bugged. I have tried dragging about 10-12 different people to the field to have them start watering it, and just as Sarah said, first it says they are watering the field and then it quickly switches to "Nothing".

I seldom breed my villagers after 40. When an older one gets pregnant voluntarily, I do say "you sneaky b".

I prefer having elderly moms -- yeah, a chance that we lose the baby, but it's much better than having to wait for them to slowly walk through whatever task they are doing.

Research is another good one if they have the skill, though -- no walkin' involved!

Another plus is you are manually breeding them; the older moms can't run away so fast if they don't get a long the first several tries.

River, try dragging them to the center of the field where the dead flowers are. I was mistakenly taking them to the far right area. Once I took them to the middle, they started watering... and watering... and watering.
