Is it a bug? Or a feature?

In all but one of my games, if I click to the oldest villager and click backward, I get a child (sometimes not a child--one is 23)... but not the youngest child. The one back from THAT one is the youngest child.

One of my games has the correct ordering by age... but I note that it is the one game that is not at max population.

The glitch is not affecting my gameplay in any way, but software testing is what I do, so...I gots curiosities.

I also notice that sometimes my villagers change names on me--I'll wind up with 2 the same name... and sometimes they are gender inappropriate. I just noticed one of my guys had appropriated the name of Shanna. Maybe they're exhanging a little more than smooches in that hut! Ya think?

Yeah, I find that gets a bit irritating, to have a 23 year old pop up in between a 9 year old and a 12 year old.

The database is ordered by slot number, not age. I think that when people die, the remaining people aren't shuffled along. They just leave a gap to be filled by another child. So if people die out of order, they're no longer born in order.

Then why doesn't this happen in all my games? Why just one or two?

I think the ever popular "waiting for someone" guy gets moved to the top of the list. I don't remember ever having a "waiting for someone" gal. Has anyone else?

In my current game, the original 5 villagers are ordered at ages 68, 71, 69, 71, and 48. One of my first events was a little girl in the chest and she is 49 now, but was ordered #6. No one has died. Number 1 is the "waiting" guy, but the rest of the ordering makes no sense.
