Came home today, and I had only one villager left in a new game.

Aw man. Muy suckido. :sorrow & tears: Did you leave them on 2x while you were at work? Slow them down when you can't watch them.

If you set a game on hard you can't leave it unattended till you have level 3 farming. It's so sad to find that isn't it. I have one game that has 33, 20 even a 9 year old in the graveyard. But I still completed the game, got some babies in a barrel. Don't give up on your survivor!

Can you still get Island event if all your villager die?

Doubt it, but VVPlayer 2 has one villager left.

If all the villagers die, you don't get anything but a message letting you know you lost. You can't get babies in a barrel with noone to care for them. I made a village last night before bed on hard, woke this morning to find all dead, including children. So sad!

You have to keep in mind that each villager eats 3.5 food every 5 mins or so (on 2x). I'm not sure exactly how the numbers work on the hard setting but if it's like the normal that comes out to 42 per person per real hour. I wouldn't leave it on until you have a nice stockpile and farm 3. Really sorry about your villagers, I feel sad when just one dies let alone almost all of them. /hugs
