I'm new to the forums, and I've seen a few people mention nursing taking twice as long, or crops taking even longer to grow. I haven't seen anyone post why this happens, so if this is a "der" post - please forgive me.

I discovered that it is literal time, and is related to the speed of the game. I usually run it in 2x mode, but changed it to 1/2x to see what would happen and the time remaining to nurse for one of my villagers went from about 21 minutes to about 70 minutes.

Love the game, I'm only about halfway through the puzzles. :-)

You are right Moira. The timers are tied to your game speed. I think what you might have read elsewhere is when the time stops ticking down, or it will be 1000+ minutes. A couple of things can cause the later (time warping and or a special event).

I had one nursing for 120 minutes and it never ticked down. Meanwhile the other one birthed then cared for 2 different babies. Was this a glitched of some sort?

Did that nursing mom drink something from an event?

It should not be a glitch. As bajantara indicated, there is a special event that will cause that problem. It has to do with eating some berries. If you remember that you had that event, she will be nursing until she reaches the age she was at when she ate the berries.

Its not a glitch, the one taking care of two babies probably had twins. What fertility level are you on?

You didn't mess with your computers clock for any reason?
