Is this a glitch or an indicator? Sometimes (frequently) I will have a child moving around and then spin in place if they are at the corner of a building or the food bin and also at the NE corner of the berry bush. This behavior will sometimes continues for several seconds. I have had multiple kids in the same spot making themselves dizzy. One of my kids even dropped his mushroom when he got stuck by the food bin.
