Looking for advice for a newbie player. I've seen references to various charts (which I downloaded but haven't printed out yet due to some printer probs at home) and have been making my own "visual" breeding charts with a capture program. I'm a visual person and can remember combinations far better when I "look" at them.

Am I right the game has no built in breeding charts at this time? It would be great to have those charts built in (though I don't know how they would swell the executable). They would fill in as the user actually bred the fish.

Are there other homegrown tools that would help me?

Initial "cash crop of fish" -- are those the fish in the 10-11 dollar range?

Well, that's about three questions not one. Sorry (but unrepentant :-)), but I'm indulging myself on Labor Day with playing these games a lot and am a big fan.

There is no built-in breeding tracker in Fish Tycoon, which is why there are so many different charts/programs/web sites out there that people have developed to help them with that task. Many of those are accessible in the Fish Tycoon Guide.

If you're diligent in your initial breeding efforts, you can find fishies that will survive (and even thrive) in a level 1 Fish Environment and sell for well above $50.
