The only times I've managed to get a villager nursing is during the tutorial. I have 350 food in my village, and I got the couple to embrace, then go indoors. Then they come out and there is no baby. This has happened several times--do I just keep trying?

Well, I think you need a bit more food than that. ^^;

Also, do you have the huts built? That may be another reason why. ^^

Well, I think that your problem now is the amount of food you have. Keep collecting food and sooner or later you'll be having lots of babies.

I have the same problem, but my food is over 700,still no babies. I also got a message that I should have enough food for a grewing population,so what is going wrong ? They going inside and are not successful. Maybe I need to level up the breeding ???????

As long as you have enough housing, you should be able to produce baby villagers. Sometimes it can take dozens of tries at the lowest level of fertility tech, but you will eventually be successful (even when they're hungry). The key is persistence.

I've sat there and thrown couples together for what feels like 100 times before I had any babies conceive -

400 food mininum to keep from getting the msg -- they are too hungry for this..... need at least your first hut built before they will have enough room to grow.....

But like Barbara said persistence and patience .... just keep them embracing ----

you can always check breeding on a female you want to be nursing and get her up to Trainee Parent - then let her go - she will keep going after the men til she gets a baby (try to never set a male to breeding - you will have so many kids you wont know what to do with them)

You must have the 400 in food, built the first hut for 8-15 babies. The second hut for 16 to 30 babies and the last hut for 31 to 90 babies.
