When you see a mushroom
if you are quick enough
you can get 2 kids to pick the same mushroom
great if you struggling for food

I have tried to do it with 3 kids but I aint quick enough

Try "pausing"(push the spacebar) the game then putting all the kids on the mushroom then "unpause".

Yeah, I've had up to four get a red mushroom. It helps if there is a bit of the mushroom still showing, although positioning the kids looks a bit weird. :-)

I forgot all about the spacebar, though, I was going out through the menu. Even better!

I have gotten up to 18 to pick up one mushroom that way. I can't get past 12 on the red ones though.

Wow - I find it very hard to get past two. With three, the third one always seems to end up interrupting the second one (who then loses their mushroom) even if they have already run off some distance. I've managed it only once I think.
