Do my builders, while watering the field, progress from trainee to adept to master?

And do they get tech points for building? Or just for research?

(I really have read the guides and many topics here. Stuff just slides out of my brain real fast. From now on, I'm keeping notes.)

I think watering the field doesn't increase your builders' skill, but you can mark people as builders to get the field watered while the game is closed.

You can only gain research skill by researching at the table (or from an event.)

What I would like to know is how long it takes to water the field, it might be somewhere around here but i can't find it

I haven't done any real testing on this (I've been too busy playing!), but I think, like the huts, clearing the wreckage, etc., it takes about 100 trips. And many hands DO NOT make light work. It will take 1 guy about 100 trips. You don't get it done any faster if you have 10 guys working on it. The best way I found to do this (in very early days of playing) is to put them on one of these tasks, set your game to 1/2x or 1x speed and go to bed. It's generally done when you wake up. If you go any faster, you could wake up to a village full of starving or dead villagers. That's too much shock first thing in the a.m.! I haven't had that actually happen yet. When I get done with this batch of 5 games, maybe I'll nuke em all and start over. I don't know, though. I'm getting kind of attached to the little guys.

what happens to the dead flowers?is it part of a puzzle im stuck XD
