I apologize profusely because I'm sure this is a question that has been asked/answered at least a trillioin times, and I did try to search for the answer...but here it is:
In one of my villages, I did all the right beginner stuff and then set almost everyone to research to get enough points to buy level 2 food.
Now I have one farmer assigned to it -- lucky for me she has a natural running ability that makes her fast. So she's planting and watering -- I believe I read that both of these will raise farming points. Am I supposed to wait until a crop arrives at some point? Does the farmer's actions matter at all?
And, worst of all, how in the world am I going to get 50,000 (I think) points for my intro to fish world? It was excruciating to get 6000 for level 2.
My berries are running low -- about 150 left. I already had a whole colony die and had to start over. In my other village, a nice whale gave us 1200 food points. Alas, that can't be shared with the game that is giving me fits.
Even if you've typed it a bunch of times, please forgive my extreme newbiness! I'll take all tips, links, incantations and whatever else I'm just not getting. I've read through dozens of pages and topics, I read the various guides, and how to make this leap from level 2 to fish freedom in level 3 just isn't sinking in.
