I converted the shack into the school but it still says it can be converted. I have finished all the puzzles and I am clueless on what to do to convert it. HElP

No need to worry.. that was a bug in v 1.00
You need to upgrade to v 1.01 - Download the trial version from the SAME site you got the first one, and install it to the same directory.

I have version 1.01 and my school still says it can be converted. The kids pick the mushrooms when I make them, but they never volunteer. Has this changed?

Not sure why but a couple of people's "school conversion" message remains. As for the mushrooms, you still have to help the kids find them
