Make sure that you don't have "breeding" checked on their details panel.

It does not matter if the breeding is checked or not. Once they learn how to do any skill, they will do it from time to time. The best way to manage the breeding skill is to only train the ladies! That way you will only have on nursing mom at a time (or however many you have taught).

Yeah, well, I should NEVER have "taught" my 50 year old master scientist...he's out of control! Who introduced Viagra to Isola?! He's actually going after women who are fishing at the time! (Not to mention impregnating my 63 year-old adept doctor...)

I've noticed they breed more once they aren't needed in their profession at the moment. My builders have been breeding cause hut fixing is the only building task and now my scientists are too, as I've finished researching hehe. I guess they're bored lol.

at the moment.. all my ladies that are of child bearing age (and some that are well past it) are all caring for babies..

sure.. the men are frustrated.. but it's my lil form of "population control"

LOL. I turned around for a moment and when I came back I had 13 nursing mothers! And two with twins! I'm at my maximum population now, though, so it might be a while before there are any new additions.

I'm with the VI: So far, in both my islands, I just have only one or two women trained for breeding, no men, and that is keeping both the population growth and the "embracing" under control! Though I do have to remember to train new mothers when the others get really old.
