I've played two games now. In each, one of my original villagers liked to run. Wow, what a useful tool. Now in my second game, one of the runner's children likes running, too. Does anyone know if it's possible to breed for runners, or is it simply random? They get things done fast and level up quickly.

And on that note, has anyone detected any significance at all to any other villager likes and dislikes (bananas, coconuts, butterflies, flies, the dark, etc.)?

runners are random, unfortunately. you can't purposely breed them to make more runners (oh how i wish you could!)

i think most of the likes and dislikes are just for fun, but some of them are significant. for example, if a villager dislikes rough wood, you wouldn't want to set them to building since it usually involves working with rough wood.

lol my runner hates bush's so can't get him near the berry bush. But I'm only level 1 building and he's a master all ready after clearing out the lagoon.
