When i got to around 50 or so villagers, i found it diffucult to keep track of who was supposed to be doing what, so i started color coding them, the farmers wear greens, the scientists wear blue, blacks, the builders wear reds. When they get elderly, even though they can still work, I ussually change thier clothes to set them apart as "elders", the women wear that pastel dress and the men wear the red tattered skirt.
It certainly helps when i can see at a glance who is where, and I don't change them until the are adults, so i know right where all the kiddies are.

It seems you hit F6 from the main screen, but peek at that list b/c you can only go forward, not backward and not cycle through -- or at least that's what the thread says.

And -- I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks -- Off to color code people.

When I try to change their outfits, it only lets me go thru like 3 or 4 of them and won't let me do anymore

Awesome! I didn't realize you could change the outfits but color coding will make things far more organized... Now if I could just change the armbands and legbands to shackles.... AND KEEP THEM AT THEIR JOBS. -twitch.. delirious giggle...-

That depends on where in the "fashion order" you started. It so happened that my best researcher was wearing the very last icky black shorts/white t combo, so ALL of my male researchers ended up in that.

Strangely it seems that in the two villages I have going (or I should say "sorta going") at the moment, one started all at the end of the fashion list and the other is almost ALL at the beginning. Dunno. Just a quirk perhaps.

On a totally other point that I should find a thread for, but I just need to vent...

I now have more important concerns. My largest village starved to death (not the whole thing, but conveniently, she says with chagrin -- ALL OF THE MASTER SCIENTISTS and TWO ADEPT ONES!) because I had WAY too many kidlets running around and nobody was doing what they were supposed to be doing, and I was trying to get enough points to buy fishing, but I only had 43,000 and they were all weak and resting and worried about food and SLOW as molasses, plus I had to move the two remaining researchers, all of the builders and everything to farming to get a harvest while I tried to keep them alive long enough to do that. I was sublimely thrilled when somehow we got 50K points.

I literally am sitting here nursing them back to health making them eat, then go to the well to drink one by one. Over and over to the point that some of them are now doing it themselves. I have been doing this for over 5 hours!

In between, I check on my fish tycoon to sell them before they overflow the tanks again and start getting ick and fungus.

I'm sure my parents would be proud to know that this is what their 38 year old daughter has been reduced to.

Thank You! Now I can finally have my villagers look and be some-what organized! Is there any way to change their hair?

it's a very good idea and i would probably followed it but i already have a method, i add a last name pertaining to their "main" job i.e. Farmer=Fam; Builder=Bldg etc

I color code mine only in respect to who is old enuf to breed - all the men get the White TShirt and Cutoffs when they reach 18 --- was getting annoying trying to make babies and was getting the message "this villager isnt old enough!"

I can't do it! Nothing happens when I hit F6. It's from the menu screen, right?

You have to have your villager selected (the white circle around them). So while the villager is selected, hit the F6 key and watch the do their quick change trick.
