ok, is there any way to speed up the baby process or just be patient? And do the kids inherit the traits from their moms? (As in after the school is built)

no unless you mess with system clock and I wouldn't do that mess's up your game. as for the rock keep reading forum and work at getting levels up on farming,building and so on.
