my gc is DARWIN(A RE-NAME can't rember origional name on either mine or sis-in-laws) she named hers TITAN- yep as you gussed IT"S A BOY!!!!!!!!her gc is lazy he only party's, dances & chases bbflys, he hardly does any blessings.

since posting about calling my GC DARWIN, i decided it didn't quite fit him so i re-named him CHAOS,it seemed more fitting due to all his actions.

Okay, I've been playing this game for over a week, I have solved 11 out of 16 puzzles and reached the maximum population of 90 people.

I DON'T HAVE A GOLDEN CHILD....? Does everybody get a golden child? Do I need to solve the remaining puzzles to get a GC? Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks.

The GC is someone who will become part of your village very late in the game, and getting him is a puzzle.

And if the creators are reading this I think it is wrong that GCs are only boys. Hope there is something to compensate in the next edition.

I suspect the GC's ARE both male and female... given names like Poema and Leia... just that the GC has one special "look", which I think we are assuming is male because of having no hair.

My first game is Araminta and my second child is Nathan because I know someone who is really smart named Nathan. I too am sick of his partying ways. Can't he do something else. It's nice he keeps the crops growing but he needs some other special powers in any future game expansion! He has a party when they're trying to bury someone and the people are dancing on the corpse while some poor fool is trying to pick it up. How disrespectful!

The GC doesn't just look male, if your read his stat page it lists him as male.

Originals were Nasha and Aisha. I renamed one to Seventiuno, in keeping with my naming convention for that game (71st villager). I'm thinking of renaming the other to PIA (love that!!), or maybe ALT (annoying little twerp...).

The answer is NO, I tried! I had three Nursing Mom's when it came time to do "the GC puzzle".... I paused the game, put all three Moms into position, and Poof, Only One emerged...

Mine's original name was Jomo, I keep changing it and I changed his clothes, cause I didn't like the outfit. Only good thing about that is since I already have 90 Villagers, he's one of 5-6 kids at a time.

Putting mom with twins or triplets to get GC - you will lose the extra babies and only receive the one GC.

Mine was Ashby and his mother's name was also Ashby. The name has significance for me in real life, too. I don't know how he knew this... He really is a magical, Golden Child. Hey, I feel like dancing... Whew!

This morning I recieved the Golden Child for the first time. And the mummie Miriam had twins. She appear to have lost one of the children when the Golden Child appeared. I named him after my husband, Yudah. :

I originally was renaming all of my islanders. By the time gc showed up I was on the cast of Andy Griffith. So my gc is named after the trouble maker on the show, Ernest T., for Ernest T. Bass. You know the guy who was crazy and lived in the hills, spent his free time coming into town and throwing rocks at windows. I also remember they couldn't get him to cooperate worth a darn and he could always escape out of jail.

I agree with everyone here it's pretty sexest to have the GC only as a boy. And yeah, the GC is a PIA! Trying to get a puzzle done and they keep throwing those parties! I had one who never made crops and the poor vv's had to keep harvesting, planting, watering....grrr. He also never replenished the berries. I changed his name to 'Useless'.

Their official names, so far, have been: Mamba, Uan, Mikio and Kuruk.

I've renamed them to Weirdo, Spooko, and Bonzo. I can't remember their original names.

Some others were named Onawa, Keiki, and Etini. My first few were names none of my other villagers had ever had, so that was kinda cool.

Also, I think I'd rather have the GC be a boy anyway because of all of his irritating behavior...
