Mine's Male and I called him "Sun".

Mine was just born and is Poema. He was borne 5 yrs old??? Do GCs grow up?
And if the creators are reading this I think it is wrong that GCs are only boys. Hope there is something to compensate in the next edition.

I suspect the GC's ARE both male and female... given names like Poema and Leia... just that the GC has one special "look", which I think we are assuming is male because of having no hair.

My first game is Araminta and my second child is Nathan because I know someone who is really smart named Nathan. I too am sick of his partying ways. Can't he do something else. It's nice he keeps the crops growing but he needs some other special powers in any future game expansion! He has a party when they're trying to bury someone and the people are dancing on the corpse while some poor fool is trying to pick it up. How disrespectful!

The GC doesn't just look male, if your read his stat page it lists him as male.

Originals were Nasha and Aisha. I renamed one to Seventiuno, in keeping with my naming convention for that game (71st villager). I'm thinking of renaming the other to PIA (love that!!), or maybe ALT (annoying little twerp...).

Some one in here asked if you can have more then one GC...
The answer is NO, I tried! I had three Nursing Mom's when it came time to do "the GC puzzle".... I paused the game, put all three Moms into position, and Poof, Only One emerged...

Mine was originally named Paco but I changed it to Petra. It's a boy and he is a pain, but is helpful.
