OK Ive been playing for about 3 hours now - Ive got 2 people doing research but Ive only got about 1400 points. How many people should I have doing the research? How many hours does thing thing take!? PS Should I get the 6000 points and do farming or get the construction at 2500 points?

since it's your first game, go for the food - the berry tree doesn't bear forever --- and this isn't a game of a couple of hours you could probably put another 2 people on research and forget about building right now.. let one of your villagers get to trainee or adept doctor in case anyone falls ill.. then switch him/her to research

Is your toddler/kid grown up That came when you first made your account? If so, put Him on the research and then the food. I say you get the Harvest first your berry bush cant last. but it takes 29 minutes for the crops to grow.

Hint take a person change his skill to heeling and then put him on the cactus and it takes a few tries and he will try to study it within time he will become a docter it takes some time for him to become master

Do doctors earn tech points?

The only ways to get tech points are to research at the table, and to get them through random island events. Since you can't count on the events, you need to get as many skilled researchers at the table as you can.

Having a doctor is really useful, though, because a villager who is good in healing may heal sick people on their own (making it less work for you!).

Ive got 4 adults working on research now and have 3000 points. Hopefully I'll remember to pause the game when I go to bed so I wont have an island of skeletons like this morning when I turned my computer on LOL :P

I have a Master Scientist and I want him to farm to get his health up; he's now an Adept Farmer. If he does research, does he gain as many points as an Adept Farmer as he would if I showed that he is a Master Scientist? Does the game know he's an MS even though that's not the designation shown on the screen?

Doesn't it make sense to go for your Science tech upgrade as your first tech upgrade (presuming the food lasts and your on top of your kids to gather mushrooms)? That way, all future advances come faster. Is that not a logical way to go?
