I'm so frustrated right now. My villagers won't build a new hut. I've got a max population of 10 and I can't make new babies. I've got building tech 2, and I've got several "adept builders". Some work on the ruins, but they'll often just walk away and start doing something else or water crops or just about anything else besides build a new freakin hut. What's the deal?

They will not start working on the next hut until your population is in the 13-15 range. So get a couple more babies, and it will take care of itself.

But my population limit in my statistics state that 10 is my limit.

have you tried breeding an additional child? And by statistics, do you mean on the left side of the screen under "population", because if so that's merely a report of how many villagers you have, not a limit

Nope, that is the maximum population you have achieved in that game.

I could have sworn it said 10 once when I had only 8 or 9.

Oh well.

Well it could have said that. You could of had 10 villagers at one time. Did any villagers die or did you lose one in a speical event? If so, this would bring down your population and the max stat would still show the max population you had, if that makes sense.
