I have 2 tribes running at the moment they both have fertility 2, one is breeding fairly successfully...the other? Despite being 3 days old I am still at 7 villagers. Not for lack of trying either. They have been to the "Hut" hundreds of times resulting in 0 new births..am I not getting something here? Or do they want their race to die out? Many thanks...

Well, the same thing happened to me. One, are they too hungry? Two, this sounds really dumb but put two guys set to breeding prefrence and go take a shower. Mine will not breed while I'm looking. Make sure to keep the view away from the hut. I don't know why but mine only worked that way. They don't like you looking or something. And the population will go up before they enter the hut so you can breed them 100 times a minute if you have to. They don't HAVE to go into the hut, they just do.

Not sure, but is the new hut built? If that's not build it cannot support a larger population.

Another problem could be that your don't have enough food. They won't attempt to have babies if you don't have enough food (enough meaning above 500 units or so)

Hmnn will have to check on the hut thing..was trying to conserve time and build tech points...but you would thinkI could have 8..since that is what the tutorial wants...will check though..who knows.
Oh yeah they have pleanty of food, and I left them like this most of the time while leaving the view on the other tribe. I just dunno..it's almost like they dont want kids or something...

The population is limited to 7 villagers until that first hut is completed. Although the villagers will happily breed, there will be no babies.

Then that would be the explanation..am working on that first hut now...Thanks for everyone's quick reply!! And yes, they were all TOO happy to try!! Haha
