Where the heck is the scaffolding? I can't find any trace of it, and without it, I can't build new huts, which means I can't expand...etc? Do I have to have a particular level in Construction to have the scaffold appear, or am I missing something? I'd appreciate any help I can get.

It will appear as soon as one of your builders start to build a new hut. And the builders will not start building a new hut until your population gets to a certain level.

First of all, thanks greatly for the help. You were, of course, right. That said, umm, well, see, thing is, I'm afraid I have *another* problem with the scaffold thing. I've reached my population milestone of 25 villagers, and I assume I have to build more huts in order to increase the population further. Thing is...it doesn't seem to want to let me build a hut, without the scaffold; and the scaffold doesn't show up (until, I guess, I start building?) The only scaffold I've seen is the one for restoring the ruin.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but what? Do you think I could impose on your good nature once more, for whatever help you can give? Thanks, again, for the help you've already given, and, in advance, for whatever you can tell me.

try waiting until 30 instead of 25?

I have 2 huts with a population of 21 with five dead. I know this question was answered out there somewhere but now that I need it I cannot find it. Could someone please tell me how many huts the villagers can build. TIA

They can build a total of 3 huts, which will allow a population of approximately 90 villagers.
