I just downloaded this game off MSN games and found this site when I had some questions and did a google search.

One question: What exactly is the breeding skill used for (well apart from the obvious )? Does higher breeding result in a more skillfull child? Does it increase the likelihood of having a baby and if so then what's the difference between it and the fertility tech which says it increases likelihood? Does it decrease nursing time? What does a Master Parent actually work on hehe?

Is a cool game so far, I bought it only a day after trying the free trial.

The breeding is just used to expand your village. Higher breeding skills increases the chance of having a baby. I don't think there is a difference between it and the fertility tech. I'm not sure if it decreases nursing time. A master parent just works on making more children.

the breeding skill makes it less likely your villagers will run away when you attempt to breed them. Also more likely they will breed on their own when they have enough food, buildings, and leisure time.

It will also make it more likely that you will get a nursing mother. Once you get a master breeder, you will get a baby on the first try 95% of the time.
