I happen to have one particular female villager that is a RUNNER! Not a walker (and not an "elderly" slow-poke). I've got her as my sole fisher (I made it to level 3 farming), because she's fast enough to do the work of 3 villagers!

Incidentally, I also have over 20,000 food! Yum!

Is this single, super fast villager a "glitch", or is this a unique "breeding attribute" that, should I be so lucky to mate her with another person, she might give birth to a baby that grows up into a super fast villager?

She's getting kinda old (she's over 40... I don't think villagers live longer than about 60), so if this is a "special attribute", I'd like to mate her while there's still time...

Latre!

She probably likes running. I have a pair of twins who BOTH like running, so they're bringing in food faster than anyone!

if you mate her with another villager, her running trait won't necessarily pass on to her child. only their skills pass on to offspring (farming, building, researching, etc.). that doesn't mean you won't get lucky and have another runner, but don't expect it to happen just because she's a runner.

runners are the best, aren't they? i had two in one of my games, but one of them died. the other one is still kicking, though!

btw, villagers can live much longer than 60 if you have a higher level of medicine.

~ Check her likes and dislikes in the details screen. If it says she likes "running", then it's not a glitch.
~ Make use of her running attribute while you can (she can get a lot of building done too), because she will start to slow down as she becomes older and elderly (specific age will differ depending on what health level tech you have).
~ Unfortunately, likes and dislikes do not appear to be genetic; in other words, I tried breeding one runner with another runner, and their child was not a runner.

I don't know. I had one who disliked swimming. One of her offspring also disliked swimming. And so did one of her offspring. Nobody else disliked swimming, just that line. I kinda forgot once and tossed one of them (then elderly) into the lagoon to enjoy herself. It's a sad, sad thing when you see how slowly they move while "running away"

So far I have never had a runner breed a runner.
