Hey all,

I just have some questions on a few details of the game...

First off, Aging... How long does it take for a person to age 1 year? Mothers nurse for 120 minutes and that is supposed to be the equiv of 2 years, 9 months. Anyone know this one?

Second, I know that 14 is the age when you can put a villager to work... but what is the minimum breeding age?

Next, has anyone worked out the skill checks? How often does the game check to see if someone's skill increases, or if it's litterally time based (they spend X time to get X level)?

and lastly, Villiage Idiots... I have a villager that is an Adept Builder and I'm trying to get him to build the second hut. I have Building Checkmarked and it's his highest skill, but this freaking guy keeps just wandering off (for laundry and "waiting for someone" no less) and stopping to do nothing at all. I'm kind of tired of babysitting him and am sorta wishing he would just die so I don't have to mess with him anymore. Any insite into what causes this kind of behavior?

i took a nursing mom to the lagoon but she didn't have a golden child

What does the golden child look like?
Does the golden child look like any other villagers or does he look anything different?

How would you know if the nursing mom has given birth to the golden child?

i think 1 hour is equivalent to 1 year.

the minimum breeding age is 18

i dont really check my villagers' skills often

about your builder, just drag him to your second hut again and again until his skills improve, or maybe you need a master builder

Aging depends on the speed setting of your game. If the mothers nurse for 120 minutes, then I think you're on 2X - and 60 minutes is one year (VV skips the 9 months part!).

Minimum breeding age is 18 - and there's no maximum.

The skill checks mark the villagers preference for work - however, if they don't feel like working, it doesn't matter what is checked. Have a look at your builders likes and dislikes - some of them just don't like working at all. Other than that, you just have to keep babysitting him - or give him another job and get someone else to build.

The skill increases are smaller as they get more experienced. They're usually fairly quick to get to Adept, but then can take forever to become a Master.

Zoelim, you'll know when the GC is born - but you need a combination of Level 3 techs to make it happen.
