I've only had the game for 2 days. My 1st tribe died, ran out of food. For the life of me, I can't get anyone to unblock the stream. I read about Level 2 of 'construction', or whatever. I place builders there (adept), all they get is confused, with an undernote that more research is needed. So I take them to the research, and all they do is shake their heads. There is nothing left to farm (gather), the berries are gone, so they walk around exercising, do a rain dance or constantly wanting to water the strange field or try to push the boulder that's hiding something. It's getting very frustrating for me because I haven't a clue what to do. Can someone PLEASE help?

Go to tech and Buy increases in farming, science, etc. That is what is meant by levels. I am having a problem with generating enough tech points. I started a thread, but no one has answered yet:(

if a villager doesn't want to research at first, keep picking them up and dropping them back at the table. it may take several tries, but eventually they'll start researching on their own. the more people you have researching, the more points you gain.

Sunshower is right about the research, the best and fastest way to earn tech is by putting most of your villagers on that. Before I signed up for the great site I hit a stand still of tech and after doing a lot of reading I learned and agree research is the way to go.

So the best way to gain tech points is thru research? The tribe I have now are just plain stubborn. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped them at the research tbl, and before I know it, here they are wandering. Pick them up again, and drop, they'll research for a few seconds turn around, shake their heads and say no. LOL! Thank you for your help. I'll most definately continue reading. Guess I'd better go check on them. It's always a surprise *hehe* Chat later gaters!

Did you actually check their preferred skill as "research" in Details? Even if they don't get success the first time, once that is the preferred skill, usually they'll turn back to the table and try again
