Hi there,

I've been playing fish tycoon and virtual villagers for a week or so and I've noticed two things.
First: You guys keep track of these forums and actualy RESPOND, which is a GREAT service. Only for that matter only, you guys should be payed gold! This gives me some sense for writing point #2.
Second: As I was (still am) playing both of the games VV and FT an annoying sound behaviour came along. Whenever I put the game in the background(alt+tab or win-key), it does what it is supposed to do. Problems run in when I open more than two "new" programs, for instance win-explorer and sony acid (both can be random, this flaws with every two or more applications I run) While the second program has opened OR I switch between two programs (who were already running), the game music pops up in the background. For me as a musician, using a lot of sound tools, this is very inconvinient as whenever I run VV or FT in the background, I have it's music playing (or soundfx) while using other programs.

I hope you can put this info to your use. Keep making and improving these great games!

Technical stuff: I'm using a WinXp system running on 2.5Ghz, 2Gb RAM, soundcards: AC97 Chipset on board, Soundblaster PCI Live 5.1,Soundblaster AWE 64, EDIROL 24BIT PCR1, Soundblaster Audigy ZS platinum. Using a different soundcard has no effect whatsoever...

I'm collecting all of the reports from the forums, so thanks for posting this. Although it's not exactly the same as a "fix" for this problem, you can always turn the game sounds off while you're working.

I turn my game sounds off while I am doing other things. I too have other programs open and have music playing on my PC while VV runs.

However, if I go back to VV to check on things, sometimes the sound comes back very briefly. It may just be the sound of the ocean or a 5 second clip of the music. But I have checked several times and I have the VV sounds and music turned off.

This also happens with FT, too.
