I have experienced twins and triplets many times (lucky me), however I always have them as identicals.....

Either all boys dressed and looking the same or all girls dressed and looking the same...- does this happen all the time or can there be non-identicals ....eg. boy and girl or at least different looking kids??? <img src="images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I'm not sure really, usually haven't seen the kids "born", just nursing. However, a number of times I've turned on the game after leaving mothers nursing twins or triplets and looked at the kids thinking "where are my twins?" so maybe they can look different or be different sexes. I just haven't pinned it down yet.

That's exactly what has happenned to me SaxyT, that's what prompted me to generate that question!!! I suppose we will just have to keep hoping that one day we actually see them being "born"....

Shill... let me ask you this..... are you sure they were twins/triplets born... did the statistics page tell you or are you just assuming? reason i ask is i saw my twins/triplets born and yes they look alike and dress alike.

Yes I agree with Zodiaque, are you really sure they're twins? Have you seen them born? Because otherwise there is no actual proof that they're twins.

I never said I had non-Identical twins - what i said was that i wondered if you could have non-identicals....
I have however left a game running with a mother nursing twins and have come back and been unable to find them... So I am thinking either Mum died and them with her, or maybe there can be non-identicals????? No one seems to know...

We all know there can be twins and triplets, what we don't know is can they be NON-IDENTICAL??? We all have seen Identical Twins, but no one has responded on the Non-Identical issue....

When you have twins and triplets do they all die at the same time too ?

Is it better to avoid mass baby booms when possible as would you not loose a big part of your population .... ect ?

Apart from seeing a mom carrying 2 babies while she's nursing, from the Puzzles menu you can check your Statistics and find out how many sets of twins/triplets have been born. I've now got 2 girls the same age WITH THE SAME NAME so I'm going to go ahead and assume they're the twins th
at were born yesterday.

Maybe one of the pros can tell us if paternal twins are possible.

Maybe LDW thinks it's easier to identify twins and triplets by making them look the same and wear the same apparel, lol.

I mean, if you have 90 villagers running around I don't think you would care much if your twins/triplets are identical or not! (I know I won't for sure, haha!)

But I'll keep an eye out, just in case there might be a chance...

Twins and Triplets should always be identical.

I got my first set of twins (without level two fertility, but with the fish) recently. They were identical, of course. I'd planned to change their clothes so they'd be different (mostly to tell them apart, but also because I'm an identical twin and my sister and I did not wear matching clothes very often), but wouldn't you know they were in the last green dress.

I have had 3 sets of twins and they have all been identical. Even the same likes/dislikes which I find silly. So I cannot answer the question if there are un-identical twins possible but I doubt it. Just because they give identical twins identical personalities.

Per the post from Carla two above yours, she stated that all twins and triplest should always be identical. Being that she is the EP of LDW, I would venture to say that she is correct.

I've got a pair of twins at the moment. Not only are they identical and share the same likes/dislikes, they seem to do the same things together. They became old enough to work while the game was off and both decided they wanted to become scientists. If I spot Lala wandering off to do laundry or whatever, I can be sure that Layla will follow her!

You CAN train your identical twins/triplets to master different levels of skills if you don't want them to be COMPLETELY identical.

I haven't yet had Twins or Triplets, does anyone have any advice on improving my chances of getting them?
I only have level 2 fertility as i've only been playing for 3 days.

It's all happenstance but more likely when you have level 3 fertility. Level 2 should produce the odd twin -- guess it depends on how much you're breeding. I've only ever had one twin at level 2, but then again, I keep my population down to 26-30 until I finish the puzzles, so the odds are less for me

At level one fertility, and having gotten the fish of fertility, I've just gotten my second set of twins.

I've also gotten twins at level 1 Fertility, and I think I didn't have the Fish of Fertility yet.

I've just got three sets of Twins in a row, lucky me.
I've got 2 games going and i got the twins from my second game which is behind on Tech levels than the first lol.

what is fish of fertility? how do you get that? And how do you run more then one game at a time?

The fish of fertility is a puzzle. It takes one other puzzle being completed before you can get it as well as certain tech levels.

To run more then one game, click on the menu button, then click on change player. Then you can add up to four more games.

Was one of the parents a master parent??

The first time I played the game I never had twins or triplets and, of course, I had all levels of all tech. When I started again, I guess all the times I should have had twins or triplets was saved up because I have now had 27 sets of twins and 9 sets of triplets. They have all been identical right down to what job they have. When they are little they are really cute and, as Arnie said, they do the same things all the time even when grown. They have not, however, died at the same time.

I've just started a new game. Two of the original founders appear to be twins. They are both 21, wear the same design of dress and both have red hair. The were also both (rather unoriginally) named Ulu. Their hairstyles are different, though; one has an Alice band and the other a ponytail. Also, one has no special likes or dislikes, whereas the other likes medicine and playing.

I've renamed one of them to Ulu Two. I've got them both on farming at the moment; Ulu seems to learn much quicker than Ulu Two, who keeps giving up and saying "No".
