I recently updated my version to fix the mushroom bug which now is fixed...However now when I go to check my stats my computer completely locks up. Is there any known fix for this aside from uninstalling my game and reinstalling? I would hate to lose my 2 saved games. Thanks for any help!

One more thing I just noticed that happened...I was on 89 population and had triplets putting me at 92 (the max I think) well I went to check stats and locked up again when I went back my triplets were gone...it was as if my game went back about 1/2 hour or so.

IT's supposed to save every 10 mins or so but if it locks up it can't write the files for the saved game. this would explain why it appears you have lost some time...

I've noticed the "lock up" on the stat screens for VV and FT but have found that patience always fixes it. If it looks like it froze, I just let it sit for a few minutes, walk away, do something else and when I go back, the stats have updated and everything is fine.

yesterday i tried to update my stats and the game locked up. normally it just freezes for a short while like SaxyT mentioned, but this time the whole game stopped responding and i had to restart it. don't know if it had anything to do with the update, but that had never happened before.

If you're using security software, you'll have to set it to allow Virtual Villagers to access the Internet again. Since you updated the game, the security software will detect that it has changed and block it. That's usually what causes the problem that you're describing. If you're running the game in full screen, you won't see the alert from your security software.

It appears to me too that whenever I update the stats, the game freezes until it gets it's results. I told myself this is probably because of either a slow server with an extremely high ping or the scoreserver is updating at the point when I was checking my stats. Now sometimes, like last night (Amsterdam timezone) my game froze for more than 5 minutes, which - in my situtation - was pretty unique. At that point also the forums were updated, so I guessed there was some maintenance going on. In general, patience is indeed the key... Keep in mind to give permittance in your firewall to let the game access the net.
