Well, I've got 2 games going so far. This is my first day playing. I'm just letting them gather food and tech points. This is getting boring. On average, how long is it between island events? I've had a monkey, drank liquid, and met the visitor in both games (that was fun healing everyone). But now it seems like I'm stuck. I've got one guy clearing the blockage in one game, one gathering food and the rest on research. I don't want babies till I get more tech points. I'm so impatient!! Any suggestions or should I just suck it up & wait? Thanks!!

It is generally slow going starting out sorry to say. The island events are few & far between {at least in my games}. If you want to get things going you might try upping the speed, but that might have consequenses. Just keep in mind that this game is not ment to be won in a day & just as in real life the longer you play the game the faster it goes.

The island events are completely random. I still have my first game going (for almost a month now) and aside from the two set standard events that appear in every game at 15 and 45 minutes I have not seen another event yet. Other games, I get quite a few, others, very little.

It's just a matter of luck (good or bad) that you get an island event.
