Virtual Villagers Tips & Tricks, Walkthroughs, Guides, Hints and HelpLast Day of Work Official Forums: Virtual Families, Virtual Villagers, Fish Tycoon
I was wondering if there's any rhyme or reason to the way the villagers look. Is it like Fish Tycoon, where fish body A+B=C and fin D+E=F? From what I can tell so far I don't think it is, but my population has grown so quickly I haven't been able to track who's breeding with whom and which child is who's offspring..
I have asked myself the same thing. I suggest each villager should have a family tree, so that you could see the parents and eventually grandparents on both sides. At least there should be some kind of gamelog to check upon each time you return to the game.
There is a game log, but there's not a whole lot in it. It will tell you who mated with whom, but not which child was the result of that mating. In your virtual villagers folder, see the file ldwlog.txt
Although I see a lot of villagers who could be offspring of older villagers, I think the faces and hairstyles are randomized. It would be interesting if the children could be a mixture of their parents but then there would need to be more heads made for the game.
I was wondering why I was suddenly getting a few different hair styles and colours in my game. I suddenly got one white-haired girl and a really pretty girl with long brown hair and flowers on her head. I don't suppose any of the heads are rarer in the game than others, r they?

I do believe the only traits the little tykes get from their parents are skills. I'm quite sure the look of the villager is random.
