I started playing this game last Friday and at first I thought this game is really boring, then I just left it a few hours and came back and was amazed at how my people had progressed. Now I'm hooked. I'm was actually emotionally attached to one villager, "Akai." She ran every where to do everything so I could always find her zipping around the island easily. She rose to the status of Doctor and when she grew into an elder, she slowed down to a normal walk. She had several children, but none ran every where all the time like she did. She died at age 69 and I miss her...she was my favorite. Has anyone else had a villager that ran/runs all the time?

Several people have had 'runners'. They seem to be a universal favorite ;-)

i've had two so far. love those runners!

i have a little girl in one game who hates running. all the other children are scurrying across the island, and she just strolls along at her own turtle pace. it's funny to watch when i bang the drum for them to go to school. the others are running, but she just takes her time. like she's saying to herself, "eh, i'll get there when i get there. school can wait."

It seems that I get at least a fewrunners in every game, at different times. Assuming their likes an dislikes allow it, they are perfect for those puzzles that take a long time to solve. They seem to do everything in half the time of other villagers.

Always a good choice Wanabeshores.

I personally prefer making them the builders to help with a lot of those long, long, walks they have for certain puzzles. Plus, it seems the building puzzles take sooooo much time.
