I've only just started to play this game a day or so ago. I just wanted to check that I'm going about this the right way. I have Level 2 in Farming, Science and Construction. I keep thinking the next most import tech to go for would be Level 3 Farming, is that right? I have 7 adults and 5 kids and have 2 adults collecting food, 1 cleaning the blockage and the other 4 researching but I still only have 10000 points so I have a long way to go.

That's kind of what I did; however my population is 30-something now. With level 3 farming, I was able to not worry about food and increase my population; and increase my researchers.

If you have level 2 farming and 8 adults and 5 kids or whatever that was, you better research fast you might not be able to support that on farming alone as your berry bush is probably out by now. Might play on slow so they consume less

How in the world do you get so many tech points? I have construction 2 and farming 2 and now have only 2900 points. The lagoon is clear. How do I get more points?

Research, research and more research Faerigrl.

Unless of course you are lucky enough to have an Island Event that gives you more but seeing as those are completely random, I would't count on them.

Should I have more than one person researching?

Heck Yeah, in the begining with 7 people I only have one farmer and one builder the rest are researching. as the population grows you may need to adjust your farmers but the more people you put on a project he better

Thanks. My berry bush still hasn't run out, it was still going when I got the farm up and running and is still going now I've gotton fishing. It seems to regrow berries if you leave it alone so thats good. I never wanted so many kids, I made the mistake of one man getting breeding skills and he has produced most of the kids without me watching. I still haven't clearned the lagoon, I just put all my people on researching instead.
