No, you don't let them die, you let the thrive!

If you've trained them well they should, for the most part, take care of themselves. They'll keep farming, fixing huts, breeding, healing, burying the dead and of course everyone's favorite, laundry.

Just check in on them once in a while. Or start again, maybe on a harder level and see how you compare to your first game or try different strategies!
