See pic. Adept Doctor, status said Laundry, Carrying a boulder with all puzzles solved, heading for the cactus. Im baffled where he even got the boulder! I fear his old age is making him senile....

You've got me there monk. While I have seen villagers pick up boulders when exercising (not my form of fun exercise but hey, to each their own) I have never seen them take the boulders anywhere!

Nor have I seen a villager say they are doing a task but do something different. You have a new glitch there.

BTW, how do you do those screenshots (on a PC). I was trying to get one for another glich but aparently not computer savy enough.

Oh hey, maybe he's not senile, maybe he's bitter in his old age and taking the long way around to cover up the lagoon again!!!

Okay, I have no clue, never mind.

lol! Well Saxy, that would stop all that dang laundry, at least!

I'm not sure, but I think there is a slight timing thing with what the Villager is doing visually, and what he will be doing next. Often times, especially with Doctors up by the cactus, I've seen where they will show (in thier task window) what they are going to do next, while they are still performing their study. Sure enough, the next thing they do is what it had shown in the window.

But I have _never_ seen them drag a boulder way over where yours did Village Monk!

Maybe it's not a boulder after all...perhaps his laundry was sooooo dirty that bundled up it looks like a boulder LOL.

Cheers!

lol! That could be it. Or, he's got the whole tribal laundry thing backwords... and instead of beating his laundry on a rock in the water, he's taking his rock to the water to beat on the laundry. I think they need some "laundry research", in either case!

Push the Prnt Scr button then open some program like Microsoft Works then hit Ctrl + V. I'm sure there's more elegant ways to do that but that's what I know and at least you got an answer.

Hey!!! It worked!!

Brilliant auntypj! Thanks, been trying to figure that out for ages. Tried the Print Screen but nothing happened, didn't know I had to actually paste it anywhere!

And to think, I work on computers all day long, sad, sad gal I am.

Ooooh, and you can crop it too! Now, step two... how to get them into posts when I need to.

I've always wondered, how do you post the pics of the game like that?

There are definately some interesting takes on what i posted a picture of, Just today i happened to see a similar glitch again. I had a villager watering the crops (meaning the blockage was already cleared) and for whatever reason one of my ladies decided to pick up another boulder and go drop it off. Must have rolled down the stream.

As for screenshots. Here is the tech savvy way to do it.

1. Hit Alt + Printscreen (this takes a pic of the active window instead of your whole desktop)
2. Paste the picture into a Paintshop/Photoshop type program.
3. Crop and resize as desired and save to your hard drive somewhere as a jpg or gif. (smallest file size because jpg's and gifs are compressed image formats)
4. Go to http://www.imageshack.us (free hosting of images for i dont know how long they last)
5. Browse for your picture and choose it then click host.
6. The last line of code you get from imageshack will be the direct link address. That is what you put in your message between the [IMAGE] or [IMG] tags.

Any questions feel free to ask me.

Thanks Monk,

Next time I'm trying to explain a quirk I'll try that!

You're making a very big assumption there, VM, by assuming everyone's running the game under some flavour of Windows. Whilst I am (though most of me wishes I wasn't) the game wasn't available for my preferred platform at the time (i.e. the Mac). I'm running a G5 and a PC via a KVM box (so using the same keyboard/rodent for both) and I cannot take screenshots because I'm using an Apple board (very nice things they are too). I could download and install Irfanview but, frankly, I can't be bothered...;o) The only native way to take shots on a Mac is Grab and I've never had any luck with taking shots from programs running full-screen.

Just a little FYI not to go jumping to conclusions that everyone's running Windoze.

Cheers

Claire
