I disagree! I've played many games since I bought Virtual Villagers and everyone is different, every villager is different. Each game I have different personalities to train (or crack a whip at if they're lazy). And gameplay on normal and hard are very different from easy. Just start again with a new game and enjoy a whole new experience! The game is far from a waste of money! The beauty of games like VV and FT is that they never really end, and the villagers themselves will keep doing new things every day. They are a complete hoot to watch on your completed games while you try again on new ones. The game will keep my occupied completely and I'll keep enjoying it greatly until a sequal is released. But, of course, that's just my opinion...

And I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, like yourself, but it just seems to me that you were a little rash and harsh to the great people that put so much time and effort into these games. I guess I think you could have said what you wanted to say a little nicer than you did. Hope you're not mad at me though for having an opposite opinion from yours. Just hoping you find other ways to enjoy the game so you don't feel you did spent your money unnecessarily. Enjoy it nonetheless!

I would agree with SaxyT - Once I am done, I plan to log in as another player name and 'expiriment' with mating and other ideas that come to mind and also pay attention to what tech points buy what skills. It's a game and can go on and on and on. I never played any type of 'tycoons' or 'sims' but this one I will enjoy over and over - now jsut to find the time (need to work to pay the bills too) - he he...

I am with you in a sense but with the others too. i mean i am mad that the game technically speaking is over and you need the sequel to find out what happens, but no matter what when you start a new game it is a whole new experience everytime!!!! but that is my opinion and you don't have to value that.

The only never-ending game you can buy is life -- oh wait -- that ends too

That's it? Nothing happens after you move the boulder????
Well, there IS one small thing a villager can do after the boulder is moved that you couldn't do while it was still blocking the cave. Have you found that one little endgame tidbit? (I won't post what it is here to avoid providing a spoiler, but you can PM me if you want to know what it is.)

Of course you are entitled to your own opinions! I believe at least one person prefaced their response to your post saying exactly that (:
Plus, I think we all need to keep in mind that while forum posts are great, like email sometimes the tone or spirit of a message may be misconstrued (:
Cheers!

miwts, maybe you hit the nail right on the head! Usually multiple "????" or "!!!!" imply yelling and I didn't feel it was fair to yell at the LDW team. If Imkam didn't mean to yell than again, my apologies to Imkam if I seemed harsh in response. Maybe that's why I prefer the smilies... hard to miscontrue those.

But we like to be yelled at...a little.
Seriously it is tough to make a game that everyone likes, and I think we don't even want to do that. We would rather make a game that some people love and some people hate.
Nevertheless, aside from the fact that we love reading the various views on VV, these forums and topics will have a large impact on our next game.

I am so close! 230,00+ tech points before buying fertility 3. Only need await the golden child. Have 171,000+ food, 86 villagers. Can't wait to finish and start over. Will def. try harder, diff. speed. etc. as you don't get the problems playing easy! Question: What happens to my first game? Does it just go on and on by itself when I finish? I hate to delete the little guys. Can you still keep playing even when you achieve all the goals? This game is SO addicting!!

I just started my second village a couple of days ago, but yes, you can keep multiple villages going. I check back on my first from time to time. It's at the max population of 90, so no breeding is successful until someone passes on. I'm in "normal" mode, so there really aren't any more problems. The Golden Child wanders around making parties, making more food, restoring crops, restoring the berry bush, etc., so it doesn't seem to require too much attention. I have it working at half speed now, and I check in from time to time to make sure my new 14 year olds get adequate training. At this point, I'm training only for farmers, breeders, and doctors, and keeping a couple of builders going, just to keep the huts in good repair. From time to time, one of the "extras" pops up for an option.
