Have you tried dropping Villiagers on top of them. I belive if your intrested the Tutorial helps with this...

Just grab a Child under the age of 14, move them to the mushroom, and they'll pick it!

Put several kids on there real quick and you get more than one mushroom. I got 3 one time!

The kids in my village don't do so great with picking mushrooms. The first kid that was already there when I started the village would not pick up a single mushroom. Then, when another kid was born and weaned, she picked up the first couple of mushrooms I put her on, and now she won't pick anymore. Needless to say, the older kid still won't pick any either. Any ideas?
