I'm trying to get the golden child and I'm wondering when I'll find out who s/he is. When the mother is carrying the baby? When the baby turns into a child? At a certain age?

I'm wondering especially because one of my kids fell out of the aging order - she's 4 and she's listed after the 2 year olds.

You will know when the Golden Child is born....You do something to cause it to happen and it is instantaneous.

Ohhh crud. XP (I checked the spoilers just now) Not only did I not know I needed to do something, I don't have the required tech. And my stupid breeder went around impregnating all my master scientists so it's gonna take ages before I HAVE the tech.

I have maxed out my population & still don't have the golden child. What do I do. I have only 2 master builders & they are both elderly. If I get my 3rd leval of medicine then they might live longer but how will I get a golden child if none of my other people die.
