I read before I registered for the forums, that the berry bush was gone once it was empty, however, I stoped forging and started farming when the bush was at 90 and now my berries are curently at 98, but I have seen them as high as 154. Is this a glitch or are they comming back and then people are picking them?

What you read was probably describing what happens to the bush very early in the game, when the berries are the only source of food. Once the bush has been stripped bare, the villagers need another source of food, since the berry bush will not produce enough food after that to sustain them. The berries do regrow and the farmers do pick them again, so the supply of berries on the bush will fluctuate.
