I bought this game from BIGFISHGAMES - love it.

I previously bought fish tycoon as well. I played that by moving the time forward on my PC, which worked well.

In Virtual Villagers, when I do this, it is INCONSISTENT in moving time forward. I have two Mums who NEVER give birth and stay pregnant constantly. I have 3 children who NEVER get older, I have 4 children who did get older?

Sometimes events happen, whilst others don't.

If this is cheating and not the way I should play the game (moving my clock forward) then so be it, but if it's not - what is wrong with my game.

I am disapointed becuase I love playing it and want to play it properly. But can't because 2 of my 4 females won't stop being pregnant (to be productive) and my girl children won't grow up.

HELP please

- Felicity

In general, real-time games are sensitive to changes in the system clock, especially moving the clock backwards in time. Different games will respond differently under those circumstances, ranging from statistics anomalies to killing whatever is living in the game. Virtual Villagers has a much more complex real-time engine than Fish Tycoon, and you're much more likely to see problems when adjusting the system clock. Once you stop messing with the system clock, the game should return to normal operation at some point.

While many people do adjust their system clocks to speed up play, doing so affects far more than just the games. Every application in your computer is affected, including the file system and Windows system applications.

I dont know if i would call time warping cheating, but more of an impatience. The game is best enjoyed at real time without warping. You dont get near the satisfaction of beating it when it only takes you a day as opposed to taking you a couple weeks on and off and dealing with problems from times you "thought" it would be safe to leave it run and what not. Im recovering a village i forgot about for a day and only had 5 people left, gotta work back up to 30...shouldnt be too hard
