2 of my villages died and they were both my master scientists...

I can't get my population to go over 7? why not i built the first hut in the beginning but the door is not open? why not?

They are able to walk through the "closed" door. It might be hard to get them to actually have a baby, but you will need to keep trying. It will happen, but it might take 20 or so tries.

You can also try setting one of your lady villager's preferred skill to breed -- that way she'll do all the "trying" for you on her own, and once she's done nursing, she'll try again.

(It takes longer than doing it yourself, but you don't have to give yourself carpal tunnel trying to get a new addition.)
